Promotional support packs a real Punch
Press Release

Pub operator Punch Taverns is investing £2 million in market leading promotional support for its 8,000 retailers.

The newly launched Punch Promotional Service (PPS) offers retailers easy access to a range of cost effective marketing tools.

Many of the services, which include the supply of point of sale and themed kits, entertainment packages, public relations and a design and print facility, are free of charge – others are heavily subsidised by the Burton based leased and tenanted pubco.

Marketing manager Claire Gavan said: “We recognise that in today’s intensely competitive market place simply ‘opening the doors’ every day does not guarantee business success.

“Retailers need to ensure a visit to their pub is a memorable experience for all the right reasons and then shout about their offering to keep attracting new custom.

“PPS will help retailers achieve this.  It acts as a one stop shop for marketing by encompassing key disciplines such as promotions, design and print, public relations, event management and point of sale in a single service.”

An 82 page PPS brochure has been supplied to all Punch outlets.  Retailers then call a single telephone number, which handles all their promotional requirements.

Claire said: “The service saves retailers time as well as money.  Why shop around for different service providers when PPS can bring tried and tested ones straight to you?

“Targeted and cost effective marketing can give a business a definite competitive edge.  We want to ensure that it is our pubs that are showing the way, whatever their style of operation.”
