Supporting local causes
Pubs have always been at the heart of the communities that they serve and have a long tradition of raising money for charities.
In 2007, our pubs raised more than £25,000 for Children In Need and the NSPCC as well as supporting a wide number of grass roots initiatives ranging from pub football teams to hospitals and sports groups to local schools.
|
 | To reinforce our pubs' strong commitment to charitable causes, we established the Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP) in August 2007 with eight Committee Members. The PSCP is committed to local charities that will promote and support young people within the region.
To date, the PCSP has supported over 18 causes ranging from the Happy Days children's charity to the Anne Lee School of Drama and Burton Rugby FC Mini Juniors. Click here to see some of the causes which the PCSP have supported.
What is the PCSP?
 |
The PCSP aims to support charitable causes within the Burton on Trent area. To qualify, charities or causes must be located within a 15-mile catchment area of Punch Taverns' offices in Burton on Trent.
Charities or requests will ideally be focused on supporting or sponsoring young people from the local area. | We will also give priority to requests from our 800 employees based at our Station Street and Wellington Road offices in Burton on Trent.
