A local pub in Bourne End received a special visit from celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal who officially re-opened the recently refurbished venue, following a £50k investment.
Customers, old and new, visited the Firefly, Buckinghamshire, on its opening evening after it had recently undergone an interior makeover to ensure their restaurant come entertainment room was sound-proof and suitable for their band nights. Not only did the customers get to see the refurbished area but it was officially opened by Heston Blumenthal, a close friend of one of the locals.
Partner, Tricia Harwood said: “It was great to see everyone enjoying the recently refurbished room in the pub, and having Heston there to officially open it made the occasion even more special.”
“We are renowned for our live music but we wanted to make sure that we weren’t disturbing any neighbours so we had our new music venue sound proved by installing double glazing and sound proof doors.”
“We aim to attract people of all age groups and have ensured we have kept a traditional side to the pub with an open fire for our older guests to enjoy.” added Tricia.
