Burton based Pub Company Punch Taverns has donated £1,000 from its Punch Community Spirit Project towards an outdoor classroom to be used by Needwood C.E (VA) Primary School and community groups in Newborough.

Needwood C.E (VA) Primary School, based in Newborough, received vital funding towards an outdoor classroom for teaching and to bring the community together. 

Headteacher Michelle O’Dell, said: “We are really grateful to Punch for their kind donation. Being a rural village school we remain at the heart of the community, so this money will help not only the children at the school but also the local community groups who hold their meetings here. The £1,000 will go a long way towards our target of £4,000 to complete the project!”
