Open day serves up opportunities to run pub business (Somerset)
Press Release
Punch Pub Company is on the recruitment trail, looking for potential licensees in Somerset who want to run their own pub business.

The company, one of the UK’s largest operators of leased and tenanted pubs with 4,300 outlets, will be unveiling opportunities throughout the region during an open day next Monday (14 October).

Recruitment and training manager Stuart Plant said: “This informal session offers those interested in becoming a licensee the chance to find out more about Punch Pub Company.

“We can outline the terms of the various leasehold and tenancy agreements as well as the support packages available to Punch landlords, including our award winning training programmes.

“In turn, we hope to meet people who share our enthusiasm and passion for pubs and introduce them to some of the business opportunities in their area.

“Punch owns a wide range of outlets, from community locals to food led destination pubs, and with the right licensee on board there is scope for significant investment and refurbishment work.”

The open day takes place at the Quicksilver Mail on Hendford Hill, Yeovil, from 3pm until 6pm.

Information is also available at Punch’s recruitment website, www.punchpubs.co.uk.

Stuart added: “We would welcome enquiries from anyone with a desire to run their own pub business, be they experienced operators or newcomers to the trade.

“Running a pub is not an easy option – it requires lots of hard work and commitment to make the business succeed. But the rewards are unlimited and we will always be there to offer practical support and advice throughout the partnership.”
