Punch Taverns today announces that it has agreed to acquire White Rose Inns Limited ("White Rose"). White Rose, established in 1992 by Tim Drake, Joanna & David Roberts and is an independent pub company with an estate of 46 freehold pubs in Yorkshire.
Giles Thorley, Executive Chairman of Punch Taverns, said:
"This is a neat acquisition of good quality pubs in a region well known for its traditional pubs and brewers. The pubs will fit nicely into our existing portfolio with minimal increase in management resources, and there are opportunities for investment to increase returns both for Punch and our retailers."
Tim Drake, founder and Managing Director of White Rose, said:
