Service to aid successful pub promotions
Press Release

Punch Taverns has relaunched its promotional service for retailers, which offers instant access to a one stop shop of marketing support.

The Punch Promotional Service (PPS) is accessible to all 7,800 of the company’s leased and tenanted pubs and incorporates promotion planning and a design and print service for producing menus, vouchers, invitations, posters and flyers.

There is also a public relations service offering advice on gaining positive media exposure, directories covering products, events and point of sale material, information on Punch’s retailer training courses, plus a ‘useful contacts’ section for suppliers providing solutions to help manage smoking restrictions.

Each element can be accessed via one free telephone number, while part of the design and print service is also available online.

Punch’s marketing and promotions coordinator Camilla Pyne said: “We have revisited and extensively improved the various services available to Punch retailers via PPS.

“The new PPS brochure includes more than 600 additional items, although for convenience the ordering system remains unchanged.

“Many of the services are either free to Punch retailers or heavily subsidised, so our pubs can gain a commercial edge on their competitors.”

Chris Wittwer, who leases the Punch owned Royal Oak in Exminster, Devon, with wife Alison, uses PPS to promote his pub food and a regular entertainment programme.

He said: “The service is fantastic and terrific value for money.  We ordered a batch of menus to coincide with the launch of a new food offering and get posters printed every month to advertise forthcoming customer events.

“It is well worth taking advantage of the service to encourage more people to spend time and money in your pub.”
