Punch give a helping hand to Child Support UK
Press Release

Burton based pub company, Punch Taverns, has donated £199 from its Punch Community Spirit Project to Child Support UK to fund the publishing of educational booklets for pupils at Winshill Village Primary School.

The donation will provide a whole class at the school with a booklet called 'The Facts' which aims to educate them about the effects of drugs, alcohol and bullying.

Child Support UK is a non-profit making, self funded organisation with the ultimate aim of providing children with facts they might not otherwise find out about until it’s too late, when they’re older and have already adopted habits formed in their youth.

Michael Walsh, managing director of Child Support UK comments: “The booklets are so worthwhile and we are trying our best to reach as wide an audience as possible.  We rely on the support we receive from individuals and businesses and so are very grateful for Punch’s support.”

The Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP) was set up to make donations to a variety of organisations such as charities, schools, sports clubs, welfare groups and hospitals.
