In the challenging economic climate more Punch licensees than ever are seeing the importance of driving their businesses forwards with professionally designed promotional materials, as Punch’s in house Design and Print team receive record orders.
Over 3,400 of Punch’s licensees are regularly ordering menus, banners and a range of other marketing and promotional materials from Punch’s Design and Print team at rates 35% cheaper than standard market prices.
The team, set up in 2003, is made up of five professional designers and headed up by design and print manager, Jonathan Mitchell.
Jonathan comments: “The orders have increased week on week since we began and we’ve turned around over 10,000 orders since January! Our licensees are having to work extra hard at the moment to keep standards high and market themselves as effectively as possible to appeal to both new and existing customers. I think the increase in orders for professional point of sale is a real reflection of this. We’re also getting quite a few orders for ‘credit crunch lunches!”
“As an in-house team, we’re here to provide an extra level of service. Licensees can either order from standard templates online and send them straight to print, or we’ll put together bespoke designs for them but only charge them for the printing element. Wherever we can, we give tips and advice to licensees on how to maximise sales using their printed materials.
Licensee John Mann of the Three Horshoes, Billingham and the Bird in Hand, Trimdon regularly orders from Design and Print. He comments: “The service I have received really has been top draw. The prices are competitive and I always like the designs and the quality of the products. What stands out though is the speed and efficiency of service which genuinely helps me put my business one step ahead. We’ve just placed our orders for our Christmas menus. We’re the only pub in the area promoting Christmas now and we’re already fully booked!”
