Burton based pub company Punch Taverns has donated £1000 from its Punch Community Spirit Project to the Burton Rugby Football Club Mini division.

The Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP) was set up to make donations to a variety of organisations such as charities, schools, sports clubs, welfare groups and hospitals. 

The £1000 will help to fund the Burton RFC Mini/Junior’s tour of Canada in July.  Over 400 junior players are members of the Rugby Club which has an emphasis on rugby for all and the development of core skills.

Paul Tattershill from Burton RFC said: “The generosity of companies like Punch means that we can make the club accessible for all.  Some of the youngsters who otherwise would not have had the means can now go on the trip to Canada. It will be a real experience for the team and it’s great to get support from a big local company.”
