Located in the centre of the historic city of York, the Cask Marque accredited Blue Bell has a tiny footprint thanks to its original 18th century front & rear trading rooms. Oozing charm and character, it’s a wet-led traditional boozer that’s treasured by cask and craft ale drinkers. The Blue Bell has won dozens of CAMRA awards for the quality of its beer, service and atmosphere – and it now also boasts extensive gin, whisky, fine wine and bottled beer menus.
The Blue Bell is York’s only Grade II* Listed Edwardian décor pub with an unaltered 1903 interior. It’s also the city’s smallest Public House, with the first pint being pulled back in 1798. The trading areas are split between two small rooms (front and rear), with a central bar servery and toilet facilities located to the rear of the property. Free WiFi is provided.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.
We’re planning a sympathetic refurbishment of the toilet facilities.
The Blue Bell is located on Fossgate in the centre of historic York, so enjoys plenty of footfall all week round. The pub is situated among mixed commercial units, consisting of bars and restaurants as well as other retail outlets.
Ideal for a cask ale lover who serves up the perfect pint every time! You’ll be passionate about ensuring guests enjoy an unforgettable visit, offering a very warm welcome and great service.
