The local area

We’re planning investment to refurbish the existing function room with associated toilet facilities and a catering kitchen. The external smoking solution and beer garden will also be enhanced and we’ll upgrade the toilet facilities for the main bar. The exterior presentation will be addressed to account for the creation of the new function suite.

Dumbarton is a lively town on the outskirts of Glasgow. It’s a historical town with a strong local catchment area and customer base. There is a good pub circuit in the town centre and the Burgh Bar is on it.

We’re looking for a strong, experienced operator, who’s familiar with the area and all competition. You’ll need to be able to relate well to the regulars and to build weekend trade through entertainment.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.

You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Punch Development Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Punch Development Manager
