Have you got the vision to build this business on the back of substantial refurbishment investment and create a destination premium offer that keeps customers coming back for more? Start by making this pub the focal point of local life and offer a warm welcome at every visit.
The Drum & Monkey is a great destination pub that’s about to benefit from substantial refurbishment to place it firmly at the heart of the community. Our vision is for the new-look Drum & Monkey to be the best pub in the local area, providing residents with a warmly welcoming venue for a drink for all occasions and a great food offer. The introduction of a premium Punch menu will see food being offered all day every day, with a full range of pub classics plus a great Sunday lunch, supplemented by regular offers and promotions. It’s an open plan trading operation, with main and lounge bar areas, plus a conservatory. The kitchen can cater for up to 95 covers throughout. Free WiFi is provided, along with 10 parking spaces.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.
Our planned investment will freshen the look and feel of the pub throughout, creating smart and comfortable areas for drinking and dining. This will help the pub to attract lots of customers looking to visit for many different reasons and occasions.
The Drum & Monkey is located on the B3133 road through the small village of Kenn, near Clevedon in the North Somerset Levels. The pub’s customers will come from the area surrounding the pub, taking full advantage of the car park. They will visit at different times and days of the week, according to their needs, whether it’s a family meal out, a drink with friends, a quick lunchtime bite or for an event being held at the pub.
The ideal publican here will be an inspiring team leader with strong business acumen. You’ll need a passion for retail, a desire to work at the heart of the community and the ability to set and maintain the highest of standards.
