Situated in a fantastic location, with amazing views over the River Mersey and the famous Liverpool skyline, the Ferry is a destination mainstream pub that’s popular for cask ales and Sunday lunches. It also benefits from an outdoor table licence on Egremont Promenade, so is able to attract plenty of passing footfall. Its location is the real USP here.
The Ferry makes the most of its spectacular waterfront setting, trading as a food destination pub with a mid-market classic pub menu. The kitchen can provide for up to 60 covers. The main trading space spans a public bar and two separate dining spaces split on two levels, with the upper level offering fantastic elevated views over the River Mersey and the city of Liverpool beyond. The pub is Cask Marque accredited and also provides free WiFi for customers’ use.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.
We’re considering a potential small investment to improve the layout of the bar area and fixed seating in this pub, and to redecorate external and internal trade areas.
The Ferry is located on the waterfront at Egremont, an area of the town of Wallasey on the Wirral Peninsula. It’s bordered by New Brighton to the north, Liscard to the west and Seacombe to the south, and faces the city of Liverpool on the far shore of the River Mersey.
This food destination pub would be an ideal opportunity for a chef.
