Could you run this pub?

The Griffin is a fabulous opportunity for an operator who is passionate about offering quality food and drink. This is an excellent cask marque and destination dining pub and sits in a lovely area in Nottingham. It has a great reputation for food and drink and has been well promoted across the area and is also known for hosting quality live music and entertainment. It offers some fabulous facilities including a generous car park and a private large field, which could be utilised for events throughout the year including car rally’s, gin festivals and village fetes, ideal for beer festivals etc.

Business facilities

This pub currently offers a central bar surrounded by three rooms which offer dining and bar space for up to 90 covers and a catering kitchen. The pub is in good order throughout with a traditional feel and wooden features, beamed ceilings and welcoming open fireplaces and an original old fashioned well inside the pub. There is a large car park (30 cars). This pub offers both outside drinking space, smoking solution and a unique private field which could be useful for hosting events.

We are looking at investing in the pub giving it an enhanced look and feel, so this is a great opportunity to take on the business and develop it further. Full details to be confirmed.

This pub offers 3 bedrooms and a private kitchen and lounge.

An experienced and talented food operator, with the ability to manage large team and offer excellent standards and service welcoming locals and those from further afield to this beautiful pub. You will have the desire to be part of this village community, building and maintaining fabulous relationships to ensure this business continues to develop and thrive.

The local area

The Griffins Head is situated in the lovely rural village of Papplewick, not far from the surrounding villages of Linby, Calverton, Ravenshead and Burntstump. Papplewick is a commuter village just 10 miles from the city of Nottingham and on the edge of Sherwood Forest.

It’s a listed building (over 300 years old) and sits in a beautiful conservation area which draws visitors from across Nottingham for walks and food or a drink.

The local village is quiet but there are locals living immediately on the pub’s doorstep, there is a village hall and the opportunity to develop relationships with locals and utilise this to draw residents to the business.
