The King William is an attractive, traditional and friendly local community pub, which is a true drinking pub offering great beers, ciders and more. This is complimented by live Sky Sports and a pool table area for the local sports teams to meet and play. The pub is in the lovely Somerset town of Shepton Mallet.

This pub is cosy with traditional décor and has an an easy to manage large one room operation which includes a bar, pool area and some good sports viewing areas. There is a cosy enclosed beer garden at the rear of the pub and a skittle alley that can double up as a small function room/separate space for gatherings or celebrations. The pub also offers WIFI. The pubs entrance opens directly onto the pavement.
The private accommodation will include two bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge.
About the local area
The town of Shepton Mallet is a very traditional and historic old town surrounded by the beautiful Somerset countryside – close by to Cheddar Gorge and commutable to Bristol and the M5. It’s the closest town to the famous ‘Glastonbury Festival’ and is also known as a town that produces Cider. There are residents within walking distance in both older and new houses and it gets visited by those across the local area as well as tourists during the summer time. There is an active community here too with community events such as the local carnival.

About the Agreement
Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Punch Development Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.
Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.
Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.
* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Punch Development Manager
