The Spittal Brook is a traditional-looking and well-established community pub with 3 letting rooms that’s Cask Marque accredited and also offers a popular menu of home-cooked food. Quiz nights and entertainment events are generally well attended, and the pub is seen as a friendly locals’ haunt. In the summer months, the beer garden is a real draw.
The pub has three main trading areas: the main bar, a separate games room and the pub’s restaurant space. The kitchen can cater for up to 30 covers throughout. The Spittal Brook is Cask Marque accredited and free WiFi is provided throughout. The pub also offers 3 letting rooms. Outside, the pleasant beer garden to the side and rear of the pub is a great place to enjoy a pint during the summer months. There’s also a smoking solution and parking for up to 8 vehicles.
The domestic accommodation consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.
We’re planning a ‘sparkle’ investment to refresh the interior décor, seating and flooring, while also ensuring the kitchen is upgraded, the toilet facilities are up to standard and exterior areas are inviting.
The Spittal Brook is located at the end of a cul-de-sac just off the main A34 road into Stafford. Situated on the southern outskirts of the town, but within walking distance of the centre, it lies between two busy retail parks and opposite a large GE Power site. The pub is within easy reach of a large number of residential properties and there’s an expansive area of parkland behind the pub.
We’re looking for a strong community operator with good food experience. You’ll need to be able to market the pub all year round to pull in custom through promotions and events – and ensure the beer garden is pristine and ready to wow guests during warmer months.
