Based in a prominent position on a busy road in the countryside just west of Bath, the Wheatsheaf is a picturesque destination mainstream pub that’s in great condition. Cask Marque accredited, this pub benefits from plenty of passing traffic and a large car park.
The Wheatsheaf trades across two separate areas: a main bar and lounge area and dedicated restaurant space, which also includes a snug. The pub’s large trade kitchen benefits from good storage facilities and can cater for up to 60 covers at full capacity. The Wheatsheaf is Cask Marque accredited and free WiFi is provided throughout. Outside, there’s a small beer garden to the front of the pub, a smoking solution and a large car park with space for up to 20 vehicles.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms. Punch will ensure that the accommodation is in good condition.

The pub sits in a prominent position on the busy A39 main road, close to the small village of Corston and just over a mile from Bath Spa University. The spa city of Bath lies about 4 miles to the east, and the pub also enjoys easy access to Bristol and The Mendip Hills.

We’re looking for a food-driven operator with experience in a similar food-led business. You’ll need good marketing and promotion skills, and attention to detail and quality are a must.
About the Agreement
Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Punch Development Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.
Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.
Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.
* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Punch Development Manager
